good image processing books

I am sure this has been asked before but I cant seem to find it on the forums. But can anyone suggest a good book for astro image processing. One that is relatively easy to understand for the terminaly thick.

Several of the imagers on the forum also have tutorails on their own websites...

I find the Waid Observatory ones pretty good if your using Adobe products...
