eyepiece filters ? which to use

hi all, i got myself a cheap little set of eyepiece filters to try R>G>B>Y just wondering which colours are best to use for what, i am still very new to astronomy although totally hooked and have just bought myself a celestron nexstar 127 mak which i am very pleased with:)
