hi all

a heads up to let you know there is a partcial eclipse of the sun this january the 4th 2011. for those of us in the UK most of the maximum 70% will be before sunrise, and for those of the newcastle upon tyne area the sun at sunrise will be around 50% covered. lets hope for a clear eastern dawn sky. i think sunrise will be about 0800am. those in scandinavia wil have the best show.

during 2011 there is a feast of solar and lunar eclipses.
