Neptune - 27 November 2010

Managed to track down Neptune on Saturday evening in the SSW. It is quite close to Mu Capricorni (top of sketch) at the moment, so was quite easy to identify. Found it to be a tiny light grey/blue disc with a hint of brown-ness to it. Sketched its position at x150 in my 12". It is the disc at the centre of the sketch. Planning to get back to it later this week to make another sketch to record its movement.

cool, I struggle with identifying Neptune sometimes, unless the seeing is steady it can look like a star.
