hi there,could anyone point me in the right direction on solving an issue with the 4 se which when turned on displays "transmit data",is there any tutorials to follow or manuals to download as there is nothing related to this in the user manual provided

"Transmit data" is what the display should say if you power on the handset with two keys held down ("info" and "undo" IIRC). I wonder if the keys have got stuck. Sorry but membrane keypads aren't reapirable, if the keys are stuck and it's not the button forced under the surround then it's a replace the handset job.

Should be a 2 yr warranty? Try your supplier ...

... but, if the handset is getting into that mode anyway, it might be worth trying reflashing the firmware just in case it got corrupted. I had an issue with by CPC1100 recently which was cured be reflashing the firmware.
