Night Sky Map (Astroviewer)

Not sure if this application has been mentioned before but I found it when I was looking for an online Stellarium like program.

It's not as advanced as Stellarium but pretty useful when you're just starting out and good for checking when constellations, the moon and various planets are going to be in view (especially handy when at work if you can't install your own software ).

Yes, I second that. It is a very good program because it's not overly complicated- very good for "quick lookups" and scans.

I'll often load it up on my small laptop, throw it in to "night mode" (red screen), bring it outside, and see what interesting things I can find.

Really good for beginners especially (like me).
