Upside down image....

Is this right? silly question I know, as I was lining up my finder scope today I found a chimiley using my telescope first an when I looked the chimiley was upside down?

Any ideas? thanks!

Its nothing to worry about astronomic telescope generally do this you can get an erector lens if you wish you use it for terrestrial use. some designs turn the image right to left. a bit of practice and you soon get used to the way in which you have to move your scope to get to the right place

In space there is no up or down so astronomical scopes aren't designed to correct the image as there really isn't much point. Unless of course you want to use your scope for terrestrial viewing then you will need an erecting eyepiece.
