Hi Colonelfrog, welcome to the forum.

I have some 15x70's and they are great, their weight is a bit of a drawback, but a comfortable reclining chair so you can prop your elbow's on the arm rests and away you go.

Don't forget to wrap up warm, as you can get cold quick, especially when there's so much to look at.

The Pleiades, and the Beehive cluster are jaw dropping.

Hi from me too - I am sure by now people wwill have suggested targets for binos but one of my favouriotes is always kembles cascade - its a trail of stars that falls like a waterfall from below Cassiopea. Find Cassieopea and assuming its a W laying on its side (more like this 3) look towards the bottom star and below the constealltion - fanning out is a sparkling of stars like a celestial waterfall and wide angle viewing makes the best of this so perfect for bins.
