Baader Genuine Ortho GO 7mm Eyepiece

Hi all i am considering buying a Baader Genuine Ortho GO 7mm Eyepiece for planetary viewing what i need to know is will this eyepiece give me a much better view the planets than the 9mm eyepiece i got with my telescope(celestron nexstar 127).

Yes it will. The field of view through the Ortho is a bit narrower and the eye relief is a bit tighter (you may have to get your eye closer to the top lens) but the views will be much crisper and the control of stray light (always an issue with low cost eyepieces I've found) will be much better. They are top quality eyepieces.

If the narrow field of view and tight eye relief are issues for you then there are alternatives such as the TMB Planetaries or the William Optics SPL's which might be worth thinking about.
