Thursday events in essex? Perseid Meteor Shower

Hi guys, have been reading about the Planets Aligning for the Perseid Meteor Shower and me and a few mates were thinking of trying to observe it.

All complete newbies with little knowledge!

Just wondered if there are any meets in essex, hadliegh etc planned for that night for observing?

I might have been up for it ( Clacton based) BUT we will be at the SGL Salisbury bash until Sunday.
