My first Jupiter of the year

Sorry, I got side tracked by some very interesting slightly tangental discussions and forgot to say thanks of the kind words about the Jupiter image.

In fact, this was taken at the end of a session tweaking the polar alignment of my scope. I'd packed up for the night and had put the heater on in the observatory while I did a bit of web browsing. I was locking up when I noticed it had cleared and decided to give Jupiter a quick go. The observatory was relatively warm and the scope had probably started to warm up again. I had just 30 minutes before the clouds rolled in again. So the scope was not optimally set up (wrong temp + didn't check collimation). However, the seeing was steadish, and that's what really counts.
