Hi All,

At last I got our new Samyang 85mm portrait lens into action last night. Good choice in high wind and lousy seeing. I dropped it on the Tak EM200 mount unguided, also a first imaging light for the mount. Brilliant tracking so far but 85mm isn't a killer test! Camera was Atik4000 OSC in a Geoptik adapter. 19x5mins at f2.8. (I like f2.8!!)

There is a fair bit of coma but I think the chip distance is too short so I will adjust it tonight. Anyway, I'm quite happy with this as a first outing and one of less than 2 hours.

This is just a reconnaisance shot for the mosaic that several summer guests are itching to try. That will be in the Baby Q in lots of panels but I'm encouraged by the lens setup here. Bit of tweaking called for, as ever.
