seeing and Transparency..........

what's the difference ?Can someone point me in the right direction please ?

Transparency is the clarity. Seeing is the steadiness. The air is sometimes hazy but steady (poor transparency, good seeing) & sometimes transparent but turbulent (good transparency, poor seeing). Ideally you have both but it don't often happen except at sites encumbered by professionals' observatory domes....
