cpc 800 dew shield

im after a dew shield for the cpc 800,Is it the 8" cele gps notched ?

A dew shield made from craft foam is as good as or better than the commercial ones.

The first night out with my scope i knocked up a dew shield out of a camping mat , i went inside for quick cuppa when i came back out dew shield had blown off, rolled to end of the garden and come undone, admittedley id only used sellotape but i vowed then to get a proper one.

If i did go the craft foam way what would i use to stick foam together?

My camping mat dewshield ( duct tape incl) has lasted 3yrs almost and is still in v good nick. A couple of quid from lidl's and some black focking stuff from Hobbycraft

Or duct tape and super glue there should be enough stretch in the foam to make it a snug fit...

Put one strip of duct tape down the outside join, then squeeze the "tube" to open the join and run a bead of super glue along the joint relaease the pressue and the joing will close up... once its gone off then add some more duct tape to the inside...

Might want to give the inside a spray with some matt black paint ... make sure it doesn't attack the foam though...
