hi all,

My Gem1 mount has a small amount of 'slop' in the Right Ascension axis. The axis can be moved by hand so that the tip of the counterweight shaft moves about 2mm left to right (or right to left). Everything is tightened up, so I assume there must be a way of tweaking this out, like on other EQ mounts, but I'm not sure how to go about it.

Has anyone done this in the past and have instructions on how to do so?

Has anyone stripped down the Gem1 head and re-lubed, polished the internal surfaces, etc?
