When will the rings of Saturn be in a better position for viewing?

Thanks that's great I just keep reading people saying the rings aren't in a good position at the moment and I was wondering when they will be??

Looks like we have a while to wait 2011 although the 2016 view looks nice?

If you're an Australian ... by 2016 Saturn will be way down south and therefore a blurry mess for us in Northern latitudes.

Catch it while you can; Saturn's orbit is so slow that once it goes South it takes a decade and a half to come back again.

Incidentally the "closed" rings are interesting in their own right.
