There was a thread on CN that asked this - they came to the conclusion that Supa-Lube was the best. YOu can get it here Loctite | Workshop Consumables | Lubricants, Greases and Cutting Fluids | Precison Lubricants | Lubricants

I just used basic lithium grease on mine. You can get lithoum grease from any decent shop selling pushbikes or maybe Halfords.

Lithium grease worked well for me. I figured if it keeps bikes going which are out in all weathers getting wet, cold etc then it should be ok for an astro-mount which doesnt have to deal with exteremely harsh conditions.

Ah - I will get round to stripping my sisters EQ3-2 at some point I suppose. She wont let me mess with it in case I wreck it - I keep telling her my HEQ5 is perfect after me rebuilding it but she isn't convinced.:cool:
