Meade 127 triplet aponfor imaging (update).

Hi,

I have been thrilled to bits with the Meade 127 triplet for imaging but have been using it with the smallish 285 chip. How would it cope with a larger chip? I now have an Atik 4000 with a 15mm square chip and the news is good. Here's a corner crop. Some bright stars show elongation in their faintest outer layers but this will Photoshop out easily. This corner crop is well stretched, further than you'd go for real, to try to catch out the objective. I beleive a flattener is needed for DSLR chips but the Atik 4000 wil be fine in the 127. I'm rather happy about about that and more impressed than ever by what is a very inexpensive OTA.
