Ermmm, need help with something pretty basic ...

Hi, I'm putting together my C80ED ... however, I can't figure out how to get the dovetail bracket on the to scope itself. I am still scratching my head and working out how to fit it on the clamshell thingymabob. Please forgive me if I am being incredibly dim

open clamshell, place on middle of scope, close and use the 2 clips to fix in place.

Thanks Adam ... I am very silly indeed.

The spare bracket confused me. I thought I had to attach that to the scope before attaching the scope to the mount. Clearly not.

No wonder I couldn't work out how to get it fix on ...
