Thanks for the advice given in my previous thread guys. My telescope saving pot is now labelled "Skyliner". One query: I live in Coventry in the UK (as the title of the post suggests!) and would like to try one out before I commit to spending as it is a lot of money for me. Is there someone in the area with such a beast that would be willing to meet me and give me a tour of their Dob?

It'll be a number of months before I have saved up enough so there is no hurry, but sadly there is nowhere I know near me that even stocks Dobsonian telescopes so without a kind soul to help me I'm a bit stuck.

Hi Matt from another Coventrian and welcome to SGL. :)

Did you know that TJ has a skywatcher 300P FlexTube for sale and he also lives in Coventry. I don't know how much he wants for it but it might be worth PMing him.
