Started off last night wanting to image M16 in white light but the first four subs were criss-crossed with so many sat trails I decided to try elsewhere and settled on IC1396. I've not imaged the Elephant Neb for a long time so it made a nice change.

The details of this image:

Scopes: Askar 120  APO's (x2), Cameras: ASI 2600 MC DUO and ASI2600 MC Pro, Mount iOptron CEM 60,Filters: Astronomic L2 UV/IR cut filters.

N.I.N.A. used for cature and scope control. Two instances used One to control a camera and the telescope/guiding/focuser etc, the second instance to just control the 2nd camera and focuser. A separate guidescope was used (TS 80mm guidescope with ASI120mm camera mounted) PHD2.

46x 300s subs processed in PI. RC Astro BXT and SXT routines used with PixelMath to bring the two image parts back togther again.

Image of M16 showing why I gave up...
