Moved filter draw odd looking flats

Recommended Posts

So I moved my filter drawer nearer camera. Still can't work out how to get it right next to camera, but hopefully this is still an improvement. Took 50 new flats but they look a bit odd. Sparkly?  Pic below. Should I also do new darks too?

Can’t see much from the camera photo unfortunately.

You don’t need new darks provided the temperature and exposure times are the same, darks measure only dark current and are taken “in the dark” and therefore can not be affected by changes to the optical path (unless you have a light-leak).
