ZWO camera on L Mount - would these adapters work?

Recommended Posts

Perhaps look at your wording as it doesn't make much sense. I assume you mean connecting a lens which attaches to a Lumix S5 camera to a zwo camera.

No, as theyre extensions the mount side is still the same as the lens.

Backspacing you're limited at 20mm, you can perhaps adapt to Sony e mount with a thin coupler ring, then use the ZWO Sony adaptor, but it only works with those cameras that have a black 11mm female to female m42 ring on the front of the camera.

Note if the lens doesn't have manual focus or aperture control you're going to have a lot of trouble.

Hi,

I think there is misunderstanding.

It's about a Sigma 40mm F/1.4 Art, the same like my one but equipped with the L mount bayonet. It has the manual focusing ring and allows changing the aperture if you have a dedicated body (we both have them).

The extension tubes from the link would work as parts donors, the idea is to get female L bayonets from them and join them with an M42x0.75 barrels. At least one is doable, should be 8.5mm long in total and should allow to use the lens with e.g. ASI 533MC Pro. Another idea is related to e.g. ASI 2600MC Pro, which is much more difficult. 🙂
