Mount Problem

I tried getting my kit to work last night with a laptop I hadn't previously used.

After polar aligning, I tried slewing the mount to Vega which was east of the meridian, but the mount slewed to the west of the meridian, nowhere near Vega.  It did the same for other objects I tried slewing. to.  I have the correct GPS coordinates set.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Thanks

John

My guess would be that the Dec axis is 180 degrees out.  Try removing the scope, release the clutch, rotate the DEC axis 180 degrees and reattach the scope.

Time and date correct on the laptop... EQMOD  would thus perform a flip manoeuvre if it feels its required.
