Mounting the ASIair Plus onto the side rings of the W0 Redcat 61

Recommended Posts

Good evening. I’m attempting to find a way of mounting the ASIair Plus onto the side rings of the W0 Redcat 61. Each of the two side rings have 3 holes pre-drilled, M6 screw holes for finder bracket (located on left side mounting rings). See pic below, holes captioned N. I cannot seem to find a plate or clamp which allows this, the nearest is a WO clamp (the base fitting of the WO red dot finder) which unfortunately does not take M6 screws. The other pic attached is what I’m trying to achieve. Has anyone got this kit mounted in this way? BTW, not a new member, simply could not login using existing password combo.

For K it's likely you need the generic finder clamps, difficult to find in the UK for some reason at a good cheap price, I use them with my Z61:

Check your centre to centre hole dimensions, and you may need to source appropriate pan head hex head bolts. Also if you do get them, don't tighten them too much, they bend quite easily then you'll find your finder or whatever shoe won't fit (can rebend back to shape).
