Photo 1 Striped and Primed

Photo 2 I took two tapered plastic drainage cups from work, these are used in hospitals. The bottoms are center marked, drilled a 3/8" hole thru and added 3/8" threaded rod and nuts. Made a V-block stand/holder (not seen in photo) to set this in while painting. The extra threaded rod on one end made a good handle to turn while spraying. Paint used was Krylon White Primer and Krylon Appliance White Epoxy spray.

Photo 3 Applied 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of epxoy. Wet sanding between coats. Here is the final results with the Moonlite focuser in place.

Photo 4 Closer view of the Moonlite focuser. Still need to run to hardware store and pick up some stainless steel washers and a can of Krylon Appliance Epoxy Gloss Black spray to finish the lens cell. Also still need to line the inside with Protostar flocking.

The Orion ED80 will now match the ED102.

Photo 5 Tube and dew shield painted epoxy gloss white (Krylon Spray)

Lens cell painted epoxy gloss black (Krylon Spray)

Added two additional baffles

Flocked the tube, dew shield and baffles (ProtoStar Flocking)

MoonLite Focuser - Dual speed rotating tri-knob
