Moon - teleconverter or crop?

I'm going to start doing some lunar imaging. I'm using an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II MFT camera and an Olympus 300mm f4 lens.

To get a frame filling moon would I be better to use a x2 teleconverter, a x1.4 teleconverter or just crop more.

I have the teleconverters already so it's no extra cost.

Any other advice gratefully received. I'm planning to use a tripod. I have a star tracker so could use that.

Thanks, Patrick

@PatrickO To get maximum resolution on the Moon with your kit, use the 300 mm lens with the x2. This will give you 600 mm at f/8. Unless you are trying to photograph the nightside of the Moon during the partial phases, you will not need the star tracker as your exposure can be very short. Your micro four-thirds sensor is big enough to cover the full Moon at this focal length.
