EQ6-R Pro PEC Training

I'm going to spend a bit of time PEC Training the mount tonight, does it matter where I'm pointing when doing it?

I know that PHD2 likes to calibrate within 20 degrees of the celestial equator and I'm wondering if PEC Training has a similar thing.

Answer maybe too late, but I did it with a star near the intersection of the equator and the meridian.
