ZWO EOS lens to T2 adapter query

 Variants of this query have been asked before but I’m confused.

I am seeking to connect a ZWOasi183mc to a Canon lens using this adapter:

To use the ZWO eos lens to t2 adapter WITHOUT the 5mm extender, do I need one of these:

Reason for the query is if you unscrew the black extension, the thread is too large to connect to the camera. HOWEVER I think I am misunderstanding something because what I am assuming is the extension is longer than 5mm but it’s the shorter end of the adapter that attaches to the lens.

I think the correct train is something like: camera, 0.7mm spacer (supplied with the eos adapter), 11mm extension ring, eos adapter, lens. But it’s hard to figure out!

You need the 11mm extender ring which should have come with the camera, just screw it on the camera and then onto the EOS adapter minus the 5 mm extender, plus maybe some of the thin shims to get correct backfocus.

Thanks for the reply. I picked up the camera pre-owned and lack the extender. Just to check, this is the 11mm female to female extender as in the FLO link I posted?
