I've got a question for HEQ5 owners. I just bought a QHY Polemaster on here. On going to fit it this morning, I discovered there is a discrepancy between the QHY mount and the top cap on the HEQ5 itself. The QHY cap is 34.5mm and the aperture in my mount is 31.5mm
I'm guessing at some stage Skywatcher changed the design of the top cap. Can anyone with the older black HEQ5 confirm that the port is in fact 31.5mm? I'm not sure whether to modify the HEQ5 by opening the aperture or turning down the QHY mount.
