Comet 67P

I've been impressed by this comet in other member's images and last night was a great opportunity for me to have a go myself.

250PDS, ASI071MCPro cooled to -10, Optolong LPro filter, 40 x 120 sec binned 2x2. Stacked in DSS comet mode and punished in Photoshop. Cropped only to lose stacking artifacts.

It seems that the distinct green halo is real. Very pleased to capture it  

I might try and make an animation later but there are some big cloud induced gaps, about 10 subs died that way.

And here is a rough and ready animation via Photoshop. I'm missing a frame alignment step somewhere and can't remember what I've done in the past to keep the field stars stationary.

Anyway, this is less than 2 hour's worth of motion last night.
