Wavelet guidelines

Guest

Recommended Posts

I've been processing some full disc pictures of the moon take  last night. I'm following some instructions I found on youtube. The final stage is to use wavelets in registax 6 to enhance the detail but the video is rather vague about how you should go about it. I can move the sliders around and see things happening which look ok but I wondered if there were any guidelines on how you should proceed with it. What should I be looking for?

Cheers

Steve

There's no real rules to wavelet sharpening, just play around and see what happens. I usually use the second slider the most, with the first about halfway along and just a touch of the third. The end result is purely subjective so where you stop is up to you!
