The great orion nebula

Recommended Posts

Hey on Wednesday i had my first outing with my telescope since I got it back in April.  A lot of things went wrong on the night, but I did manage 1 x 2min guided shot of M42 using the L-eNhance filter.  Quickly did some editing in Pixinsight with it.  It's clear tonight and I managed to fix my equipment and software problems so hoping to get some good data on Orion!

Holy buckets, this is a single subexposure? Wowsers! Stars are pretty blue, do you think that's the filter?

Thanks, yeah a single 2 min shot roughly put through PixInsight, I think I went a bit OTT with the colour sat so that’s maybe why the stars are more blue, but also it could be the filter, first time using it so can’t really say.
