Yet another NEOWISE!

Recommended Posts

This is my humble effort, and not a patch on the superb images others have posted. My view to the North is not good, suffering from light pollution from Oxford and an obstructed horizon. But anyway, now the comet is a bit higher in the sky, I was able to catch it. I stacked 30 frames of 0.5s at ISO2000, taken with a Lumix G80 and a 200mm lens at f/2.8 on an Alt-Az mount. Also the same number of darks. I needed to use longer exposures really, but at least the short exposures have enabled a more detailed look at the comet's head. Processed as a picture, so the colours won't be accurate.
