Galilean Satellite Io Occults its own Shadow - July 15-16

Jupiter’s Galilean Satellite #1 Io will partially occult its own shadow during the night of 2020 JUL 15-16. This can only occur during the nights surrounding Jupiter’s opposition from the Sun, which this year was during the night of 2020 JUL 13-14. Well, it can also occur around the time of Jupiter’s conjunction behind the Sun, but as a practical matter that is not observable.

Below are my preview graphic and event timetable. Photos and descriptions of the actual event would be welcome additions to this thread.
