HELP! celestron skyprodigy 130

Hello,

i have recently purchased a celestron sky prodigy 130 and need some help. The system seems to work great; it was showing me the names of all sorts of stars etc and aligning itself to show me them. The issue is, much to my disappointment when i look at these stars through the scope, they do not seem to be any more visible than when i simply look up to the sky? 

im not sure if i have set the scope up wrong or if im using it wrong, so any help would be much appreciated!
