M108 7 December

This was taken after I did M36, 37 and 38 on the same night. Much longer subs on this, but I am not too happy with the result. There is not as much detail as I might have hoped, and the flat-fielding hasn't worked perfectly - there is a faint "ringing" gradient due to vignetting which I haven't been able to remove.

Also, if I had been more "on the ball" I could have got the Owl Nebula in this field as well - I have since discovered it is just out of field, below the bright star lower left.

It's a great shot really showing M108 in it's natural surroundings.
