Retrofit Red Dot Finder?

I'm using this old Meade 114-EQ1B with an awful 5x24 finder scope.  The least little dunt and it's out-of-alignment.  Giving that it's a 2 pin fixing mount to the OTA, do you think it's possible to fit a more modern RDF to it?  Pin to pin centres are approx 20mm apart.

Rigel Quickfinder and Telrad come with double sided sticky pads so easily fitted to any OTA.

Thanks for the info.  I've found a RDF that has the two hole mount with the right distance between the holes to fit.
