Where fix remotes?

my nexguide and electric focusser both have wired remote controls and I'm wondering how and where to attach them without wires getting in the way. Velcro to the OTA causes all sorts of shudders and Velcro to the mount creates dragging wires. Apart from hanging them on an old mic stand and creating more clutter to fall over i cant think what's best. Any suggestions?
