Christmas gets earlier and earlier...

well it seems to, but this image of the Christmas Tree open cluster including the Fox Fur and Cone Nebulae was captured back in Jan 2018😁

Image created with Hydrogen Alpha and RGB data collected using my dual-rig setup (85mm and 150mm refractors) at approx. 1.7 arcsec/pixel over two nights, giving approx. eight hours of Ha (49x600s) and 1 hours 20 mins of each RGB channel (300s subs).

I used the Ha data as the luminance layer and also to add a slight enhancement of the red channel. Processed in PI with some help from MaxImDL, PS CS3 and PhotoLab2 along the way. I found this a tricky image to process, with a couple of false starts! Hence why I've put it off until until a rainy day😂
