Rigel quick find quality control

I dropped my Rigel one time on a hard surface, when the sticky tape gave up, it didn't break though,  more solid than it looks. Not something I would invite you to test mind ?

Mine does not look quite as rough as that, but it works great, so the finish doesn't bother me. What counts is that it works well in use. Nice and light, helps balancing heavier eyepieces on my Dob, very easy and quick to align. The batteries last ages. For the price I wouldn't expect a stellar finish. I am very happy with it, had for 4 years or more now.

Note: Some may miss the extra circles on the Telrad  (up to 4 degrees) versus 2 on the Rigel, I am okay with that versus the weight factor. If you are used to a red dot finder, then you'll like the added viewing circles I suspect.
