First attempt at M44

Always enjoyed seeing the Beehive Cluster through binoculars so wanted to try and capture an image of M44. Taken on 24 February 2019, this was the second night in a row I was out imaging, a bit of a rare event.

Image comprised of 40 light frames, ISO 800, exposure time 100s. Dithering used through PHD2. 15 flats and dark bias frames all stacked through DSS. Image captured with a William Optics Z61, flattener and Canon T3i Rebel. I am pleased with the guiding and roundness of the stars but disappointed not to have any colour in them.

Processing is still a dark art for me so please feel free to provide feedback. Thanks for checking in.
