Cleaning the lens?

While looing at the moon the other night, as I changed ep had a good view of my 6 inch lens reflected via the diagonal, the lens was pretty dirty :crybaby: , this surprised me, as I have always been very careful to keep the lens covered. Should I leave well alone? Know I should not take lens out, and fear that the dirt is on the inside lens.

Leave it alone (I know it can be difficult!!) unless there is a significant amount of crud on there it won't be affecting the views in the slightest.
