Equinox 80 ED Pro and a 6.3 focal reducer

Recommended Posts

I'd be interested to learn if this one works.  I have not heard of this as a common use of a 0.63xFR.

As far as I am aware the 6.3FR is designed for an SCT and is expecting an F10 light cone to hit it, whereas the 80ED will be F6'ish to begin with, and the FR may not be able to bring the image to focus without a huge extension tube before the camera.    All that is before you start to add adaptors, threads and what-nots to get it to hold  together.

Hi

I have a Sky-Watcher Equinox 80 ED Pro and would like to try it with my 6.3 FR. Any Idea of what specific adapter I would need to use? The camera would be an unmodified Canon 700D. Thanks in advance.
