Newtonian focuser for heavy load - Crayford or R&P

Having heavy eye pieces and a Paracorr 2, I want to upgrade to a heavy duty focuser for my dob.

Should I generally choose a Crayford or rack & pinion? Which focusing system, and what diameter tube should I choose? Any models recommended? Heaviest eps are Maxview 40 and 34, Panoptic 35 and Pentax XF zoom as examples.

My previous r&p rack screws (1 each end) and tube tensioner keep loosening due to weight load and I think either or both screws and holes threads have worn down.
