Olympus em 10

Thought i would try my olympus em10 mk2 on m45 area.

bog standard kit lens @14mm 

a small stack of 9 x 30s no calibration 

converted to fits and fiddled with in PI saved as png

Very noisy and horrid coma But promising......!!! 

Perhaps with a decent lens who knows (14mm samyagn)

Nice! I think you need longer exposures or higher iso to capure the nebulosity surrounding this target. Stopping down the lens will generally improve optical quality, but will cause diffraction spikes. If you want to do more wide field ap, getting a samyang or takumar seems a good investment.

Just been out an bought myself a Panasonic 1.7 fl 25 mm  that has really good reviews as an Astro lens. 

Given micro 4/3 2x crop 25mm will be equivalent to 50 mm. 1.7 fl blooming fast so nice short subs and lots of them, this camera and lens combo will suit my Sw star adventurer well

now if the clouds disappear perhaps I could get out n play.... lol
