TJExcalibur
Since I have been advised not to use my scope for night viewing I have been playing with my Olivon T84 EDO during the day. I can see no point in keeping Celestron setups as the boss will rarely use it and the Olivon is good for the planets and moon, fantastic for daytime. It has a 20x60 zoom which is useless for even the brightest stars. I tried an ES eyepiece but it is a fraction too large to go past the gromit. I could buy some Olivon eyepieces which will fit or should I ditch the spotting scope to I get something we can both use.
mikeDnight
If you're looking for a truly good all round scope at a reasonable price then I can think of nothing better than the Equinox ED80. With an errecting prism it is a great daytime scope and a mirror diagonal will give you superb views of the night sky. I think id rather go for the Equinox than mess around buying specialist fit eyepieces. Mike.
