Image acquisition with a simple script aka FITS.DLL ?

Under Windows-7 I used the FITS.DLL to acquire images from any ASCOM camera using a simple command-line script. It is a great way to integrate other scriptable actions with image capture. Unfortunately, zealous anti-virus protection introduced with Windows-8/10 breaks file output from this DLL, which is rather old and no longer maintained.

Does anyone know of a way to set the camera parameters and capture a FITS image with a command-line script ? I know that e.g. Nebulosity can be launched from a script, but I was hoping for a simpler solution along the lines of the old FITS.DLL script.
