Big Bang!
On 4/13/2016 at 00:41, Physopto said: An update for those who helped me out here. With the help of a well known engineer/author in our field I learned how to collimate accurately. In the process of that I discovered that the Moonlite focuser was misaligned to the axis of the OTA by about 4mm over the distance between laser and Secondary (haven't done the maths on the angle that equates to but it is significant). Rotating the focuser described an 8mm circle on the Secondary and so it seems probable that at some point I rotated the focuser and therefore was presenting the CCD at an angle to the optical axis. Last night I finally completed the task and I have round stars again. I am so grateful for all your support. Gus
