My second attempt at Mars 06/05/08

Had a go at Mars for the second time ever on tuesday night. I used the 150p, Neximage and a x3 or x5 barlow, i've forgotten now :scratch:

I don't know if they are good shots as the conditions were poor that night as you know . There was so much shimmering that i was unable to get a good round planet.

Also had a go at editing a composite image in photoshop. I also resampled the avi & applied some wavelets and unsharp mask to the main image to improve on the original.

Wow! you've done very well to get that level of detail out of Mars given how small it is!

That's quite remarkable, both for the time of yr and the recent seeing !!
